Office Math
The time between December 28 (Wednesday) and January 4 (Tuesday) equals 1 week which equals 7 days.
3 of those days, I will be working 12 hours.
4 of those days, I will be working 6 hours.
(12*3) + (6*4) = 60 hours.
60 / (24*7) = about 36%.
Therefore, about 36% of my New Year's week will be spent in the office.
The average working hours for other people in my office is 40 hours during a typical work week.
40 / (24*7) = about 24%.
Therefore, on average, other people in my office are at work for about 24% of their typical week.
However, it is not a typical week. We have holiday and goal days to think about.
The average working hours for other people in my office this New Year's week is 21 hours.
21 / (24*7) = 12.5%.
Therefore, other people in my office are at work for 12.5% this New Year's week.
So, 36% > 12.5% by 23.5%.
23.5% (the difference between how much I work compared to other people) almost equals 24% (the other people's typical work week).
In conclusion, I will be at work longer than other people by a whole typical work week for them this week.
I think I'm getting screwed over.

My head hurts...and I feel sorry for you as well. It probably won't help you to know that last week i was only in the office for 2 days, this week for 3 days and next week for two days.
